If you’re new here, I’m the auction guy you probably saw on IG or X. You may have downloaded my Auction Starter Guide with the lists of all the auction sites and tips on getting started.

Thanks for being here.

I don’t always talk about auctions. Today, let’s talk about motivation.

Why do we work?

I love a campfire. Some of the best times of my life have been spent sitting around the campfire with family and friends.

There’s no better place for storytelling, connection, laughs, and memory building than a warm fire on a cool night.

A campfire is also a magnet.

A magnet that I have used during my life to pull me forward. To lift me up when the daily grind weighed me down.

Campfire is a beacon for me – what I am working towards.

Always.

As I build new things and try new experiments, I am always thinking: this will make a great story around the campfire.

Or:

This is going to be so successful that I am going to buy a new property where we can have amazing campfires.

Like the campfire we had recently at RiverSong.

It took me 5 years to build the campfire in the photo above. It began with a meeting with a government official and a series of questions.

You can read about that experiment on X.

We all need a beacon. Something that reminds us why we’re doing the hard things. Something that cuts through the noise when the hustle gets loud.

Your version might not involve a campfire. It could be a house full of rescued dogs. A studio where you make music. A surfboard. A family dinner table. A plane ticket with no return date.

Whatever it is, it should do two things:

  • Pull you forward (more than your to-do list pushes you)
  • Help you filter out the junk (because not everything is worth your time).

So, here’s my challenge to you this week:

  • What’s your campfire?
  • What’s the image in your head that makes the grind worth it?

Figure that out, and suddenly, your business becomes the engine—not the destination.

Cheers to your inevitable success!

P.S.

If your campfire includes creating a new way to generate revenue that can have a multi-generational impact on you and your family, you’re just the type of person we want in our $5 Reseller Mastermind.
