🏴‍☠️ Sell Big Items

Unconventional Entrepreneur

I share tools to live an uncommon life. As a builder and Unconventional Entrepreneur, I’ve spent the last 25 years testing what works and cutting what doesn’t. This newsletter is where I share the real strategies, systems, and revenue streams that have created my uncommon life. If you’re building something of your own, you’re in the right place.

If you’re new here, I’m the auction guy you probably saw on Insta YouTube or X. You may have downloaded my Auction Starter Guide with the lists of all the auction sites and tips on getting started.

Thanks for being here Reader. Let's get right into it.

Welcome to part 2 of this series! If you missed part 1, you can find it here.

Having an unfair advantage can make you rich.

One advantage can be the ability to manage oversized items for resale.

Members of our Reseller Mastermind make thousands selling couches, appliances, outdoor furniture, and more.

Here’s how they are doing it and how you can, too.

1. Space

You need some.

But don’t rush out and rent a warehouse. You can get started in your garage or a storage unit.

You will want to get a Pallet Jack to move stuff around. You can find used pallet jacks for under $200 on Marketplace.

Melanie Hiatt has sold over 600 rugs out of her garage since joining the Reseller Mastermind in September!

Melanie recently did a Q&A for our members to share her system for success.

2. Scratches and Dents

There’s a reason this stuff sells so cheaply. You will often get items with scuffs or minor damage.

This is OK.

When you are selling at 50% off the Costco price, buyers understand this.

3. Problem-Solving

These big items sometimes arrive missing accessories, feet, or other items.

If you fall in love with problem-solving, profits will follow.

Most people are not good at this, which creates more opportunities for you.

Research how to buy these missing items and keep extras on hand.

4. Where to sell

This is a local business.

FB Marketplace is the number one venue to sell. Also, try Craigslist and eBay with local pickup.

5. The Law of Averages

This business is not all about home runs.

You will get good deals and not-so-good deals. The profits are averaged out over the long run.

Don’t get discouraged. Make mistakes, adjust, and keep moving forward.

Do you have what it takes to sell large items?

You won’t know until you do your research and get into the game.

One person whom I recommend you connect with is Mike McCabe. Mike made over $60K profit in the last 12 months selling couches!

And the kicker?

Mike doesn’t buy anything. He gets free couches from Marketplace, cleans them up and does any needed repairs, and then sells them. It’s incredible.

You can meet and learn from Mike in our $5 Mastermind.

Now you know more about selling big items.

You also have an opportunity to learn from and connect with Melanie and Mike – both sellers doing $5-10k per month selling big items out of their garages.

Will you skip one Starbucks this month and join us in our $5 Reseller Mastermind to change your life?

Have a profitable week and stay tuned for part 3: the Decision Matrix!

Cheers,

~ Shannon Jean
